ANNUAL CHANGES TO THE NASDAQ-100 INDEX

Washington, D.C.?Effective with the market open on Monday, December 20, 1999, the
components of Nasdaq-100 Index© will change.

The following issues will be added to the Nasdaq-100 Index: MedImmune, Inc. (MEDI); EchoStar Communications Corporation (DISH); Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. (MFNX); PMC-Sierra, Inc. (PMCS); Adelphia Communications Corporation (ADLAC); i2 Technologies, Inc. (ITWO); BroadVision, Inc. (BVSN); Network Appliance, Inc. (NTAP); Legato Systems, Inc. (LGTO); NEXTLINK Communications, Inc. (NXLK), SDL, Inc. (SDLI); Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC); RF Micro Devices, Inc. (RFMD); Network Solutions, Inc. (NSOL); and
QLogic Corporation (QLGC).

In addition, shares of each of these companies will be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex: QQQ), which are securities that represent ownership in the Nasdaq-100 TrustSM. The Trust holds a portfolio of equity securities that compose the Nasdaq-100 Index and aims to provide investment results that generally correspond with its performance.
