Some thoughts

--------------------------------------

Hard to get any 'new' thread off the ground ..
I'm hopeful that we can attract SI posters who
do 'glean' trading ideas from various investment
sites around the web to post them here .. The only
reason the "dayinvestor" site is 'working' is that it
has reached a critical mass with the SI investment
community and others who have discovered it .. to
the point that they are willing to actually trade
on the ideas presented .. Don't know how long it will
last with that site or any other for that matter, but
since there appears to be a large number of SI'ers
that utilize that site .. I remain hopeful that this
thread can become a 'clearing house' for the "picks"

Some sites to 'mine'

jetson.cnbc.com

This is the CNBC guest list line-up for the
coming day .. Good times to check the list are
late in the evening or early morning pre-opening.

Often there are good long trades by taking
positions in companies whose CEOs etc will be
appearing later in the day ie after 12:00 ..

Stocks that have had a good 'run' prior to the
CEO appearance are often good day trade short
plays ..

No hard and fast rules on the use of the CNBC
site .. but good source of stocks to watch ..

For those who have CNBC in the background during
the day .. there is often a 'teaser' at the
commercial breaks for guests/companies that
will be appearing the next day .. ahead of
when the "site guest list is updated" .. if
you 'hear' one of those please post it pronto !!!

Any volunteers for CNBC duty ?????????
