<novice to novice> That's OK Rampant, if one does not ask questions, he or she will progress much slower, if not at all, and I learn something from every single thing I read and it really helps to hear how others do what they do. As far as cancelling an order vs. changing an order, the way you explain the situation, is right on the ball and if one is to trade, they have to take this all into consideration, I guess. I am not trying to blame or credit any of these outside forces on good or bad trades, I am just trying to identify the danger zones, to help stay out of high risk situations, and sometimes a novice does not recognize this, until he / she gets burned. Hello Rampant, I am with web broker too, and had a rough time friday. This was my 1. week in day trading ( i am a position trader since about 6 years)and I realized that my equipment ( a laptop and slow compuserve IPS) does not help me. Also TD Waterhouse is way too slow, can't imagen how it will be if there is a down day ( like really bad_u know what I mean) Question #1: what is CSW portfolio tracker ? # 2: Who is the best _fastest_discount BROKER in CANADA ? # 3: What should I be looking out for, learn, buy, get , to improve my trading in terms of execution, costs, speed , accuracy ? I thank you all for some input, I had a good week, and feel comfortable in holding EMJ, there is a small favorable mentioning of the stock in the (Saturday)Financial Post. I certainly love the action and the camaraderie on this thread, I am amazed how small it is, but glad about it!
