Not just because of the affair, there are several things he did that could be called unethical. But I think in the business that was brought forward by the obsessive monomaniacal David Bonior was a bum rap. He is, however, brilliant. He was instrumental in winning the Republican majority in 94. Some might say his machinations were Machiavellian, but then, politics ain't beanbag. Something tells me we haven't heard the last of him.
