What comparison are you referring to? Did you normalize the AC performance for off current? Unless a careful comparison is made, the conclusions can be misleading.

Of course they were ridiculed - ridiculed by all the engineers from all the other companies that suddenly realized they were EVEN FURTHER BEHIND INTEL than they had thought !

Intel's got notched gates, the notched gates are providing a performance boost and Intel's got them in production.
