Does the "Pulse" sometimes not work for anyone? I enter symbols under "Market View" this morning and "unknown" comes across the screen.

Thanks
Dave

Well I've read about the problems with E-Trade and thought I would add my two cents worth.

The other day I was waiting for the conditional offer on LNUX to open. I spent the evening refreshing my browser. To my shock the last time it came back it told me the conditional offer was closed!

I had been sitting here while the offer was open refreshing my screen and did not get the the correctly updated page. After calling and talking to customer support for an hour in which they passed me back and forth to technical support, brokers, and back to technical support they admitted that this could happen to their system if they had a problem or it was busy. After I sent a complaint e-mail to them they replied with this.

Dear Mr. Robinson,

Thank you for choosing E*TRADE.

I am so sorry about your dilemma. The issue we faced for last two days had nothing to do with how busy the market was but database issues that we couldn't upgrade because of the Y2k freeze by the NASD.

Sincerely,

E*TRADE Customer Service

I'm less than happy with the service I've gotten so far. Question is how long will the NASD Y2K Freeze prevent them from updating their database system? And when were they going to tell usabout this?
