IDC Momentum Building Over Weekend - stats

In response to Boon's and Manx' SI request for an update daily on visitors to www.TelecomTechStocks.com Web site where IDC is the current "Focus tock" (as in indication of whether interest is continuing to build in InterDigital), here's the latest as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

INTEREST in IDC CONTINUES TO BUILD right into the weekend at the TelecomTechStocks.com web site!

Saturday, Dec 4 visitors (sessions) 360
Sunday, Dec 5 visitors (sessions) 409
Monday, Dec 6 visitors (sessions) 522
Tuesday, Dec 7 visitors (sessions) 750
Wedday, Dec 8 visitors (sessions) 740
Thursday Dec 9 visitors (sessions) 716
Friday Dec 10 visitors (sessions) 1,131
Satday Dec 11 visitors (sessions) 1,360 (at 8:00 p.m.)
(Average number of visitor sessions since September 1 has been 236)

During this period, we have had visitors from Canada (35), *Norway (24), *United Arab Emirates (10), *Belgium (10), Netherlands (10) *Germany (9), Tonga (9), UK (5), *Finland (4), Singapore (4) Israel (3), Morocco (3), Austria (3), Australia (3), and 1 each from Sweden, Ireland, Korea, Aruba and Switzerland.

* above indicates upswing in visitor sessions Friday 12/10 and Saturday 12/11. (I find the growing interest in IDC from the United Arab Emirates particularly interesting!)

Visitors are staying longer and visiting more pages Friday and Saturday. This is also an indicator of the increasingly serious consideration of IDC as an investment.

Visitors are linking directly this week from Yahoo, Raging Bull, msn.com, Silicon Investor, regional and national brokerages, corporate headquarters of InterDigital's principal industry competitors, major universities and research centers and federal government offices.

Most popular sections being visited are:

Home page at telecomtechstocks.com

Introductory page to the InterDigital as Focus Stock report at telecomtechstocks.com

Introduction to Telecommunications Technology (beginners level) at
telecomtechstocks.com

Latest news about InterDigital at telecomtechstocks.com

O K, so why has this IDC stock been so cheap when its "sister stock" Qualcomm is so expensive?" at telecomtechstocks.com

Overview/summary of InterDigital as an investment at telecomtechstocks.com

Third Generation Standards for Wireless at
telecomtechstocks.com

Litigation between InterDigital and Ericsson at telecomtechstocks.com

And the section describing how the non-commercial, cookie free web site originated and what its biases are. That's at telecomtechstocks.com

We do not even know, and of course we never report, who individuals are who are visiting. Identification is by domain only. Since corporations, universities etc have their own domain, that information is obvious.

Monday December 13, 3:55 pm Eastern Time

U.S. Options - Interdigital vols, volume stay high

CHICAGO, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Implied volatility and volume stayed high on Monday in
options on Interdigital Communications Corp. (AMEX:IDC - news) as the stock set
another new 52-week high.

Implied vols for the January 22.5s hovered near 160 percent, above Friday's 143 percent
area.

``Yes, it (implied volatility) seems to be high still,' said market maker at the Pacific Exchange. ``We can't speculate as to
why.'

``The volatilities are higher,' agreed an options analyst.

Turnover also remained hefty on Monday after Friday's nearly 9,600-contract total. The option usually posts volume of around
2,800 contracts daily.

At 2:45 p.m. CST (2045 GMT) Monday, roughly 11,040 options had traded, including 6,385 calls and 4,655 puts.

The December 12.5 calls, which expire Friday afternoon, were up 3 at 8-1/2 on volume of 862 and open interest of 2,441. The
January 17.5 calls were flat at 6 on turnover of 572 and zero open interest. The busiest puts - the March 7.5s - firmed 7/16 to
1 on volume of 1,110 and open interest of 1,632.

Neither the market maker nor the analyst spotted any solid fresh news behind the rise in the options vols or stock of the
Pennsylvania-based wireless telecommunications developer.

In late November, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reaffirmed the validity of two Interdigital patents at the heart of a
lawsuit by the Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson.

On Monday, Interdigital shares were up 2-1/8 at 20-1/8 on American Stock Exchange volume of 2.8 million. The stock earlier
on Monday touched 24-15/16, its second consecutive 52-week high.
