I wonder if the problem with getting a borrow doesn't have something to do with the fact that ZITL has spent so much time recently under 2. This would have moved a considerable number of shares into cash accounts, and many firms require marginability to get a borrow. The folks in the chat room where I spend my day didn't have any problem getting a borrow. Of course they rarely do. Myself, I have noted that lately it's very dangerous to short the first day of one of these runs, so I didn't bother trying. I put in orders after the close though, and may start a position Monday. It's amazing that I was kicking myself for closing my position at 1 1/4 not that long ago. ZITL made my December last year, it would be interesting if that repeats. I must admit I'm a little worried about the changes that have occurred. Jack's gone, Y2K and MatriDigm as well, is it possible all the convertibles are done as well? The company's situation is definitely different than it was a year ago.

Regards,

Barb
