I love the last paragraph, music to my ears.

Orange (UK), mobile phone operator, has launched its high-speed circuit-switched data (HSCSD) service, an alternative mobile data service operating on top of the company's voice network.

The HSCSD raises mobile data speeds to 28.8-kbits/sec from 9.6-kbits/sec. Orange's first HSCSD device is a GSM PC card, made by Nokia, offering up to 28.8-kbits/sec wireless data speeds.

Meanwhile, Orange has dismissed suggestions from rival operators that GPRS technology will be launched in mid-2000. Motorola had claimed that GPRS would be launched in summer 2000. GPRS handsets will not be launched until 2001, according to Orange. Orange is testing GPRS.
