StarBase has one main product StarTeam and Intersolv got already got the market share. Intersolv is now owned by Merant. Plenty of source code control programs out there.

Robert - SBAS: If I know Techie well enough, and I think I do, he would short because of the recent momentum and hype. There is nothing wrong with this strategy, it really depends on the time horizon.

Many traders have a hard time seeing the short run because of their long term prospects on an issue. There have been occasions, not often, that I would short an issue that I was also long on. SBAS looks good to me long term, I am still DDing the company and they still have a long way to go, and more to prove, but they appear well on their way. People are just picking up on this.

But, regardless of what you believe the long term prospects are, if you are a trader, you can also capitalize on an overbought scenario. BITS was a good example of that on Friday.

I don't know BITS as well as many, but I do not see anything terribly compelling still like I do with SBAS. Doesn't mean it won't continue to go up, and as a trader, love or hate the company, I will play the action of the day. For those companies that I do like, I don't hesitate to add them to my long or intermediate portfolio, and trade them in the trading account.
