I was wondering how investors will treat ven after the initial excitement of the word 'internet' dies down. It will be a split play - largely a leveraged bet on the PoG, complete with a hedging nightmare i believe, and now launching off into the internet. They may have a hard time convincing people that they have the expertise to handle both efficiently. Personally i like pure plays, most do imho. And i think that is one thing Jordie has done right - make the switch completely, prepare thoroughly especially with regards to personnel, and then focus the effort on the new game. To take an example entirely within resources - Imho Southernera has been knocked down to an extreme partly because of their Messina purchase from Implats. People doubt that they can apply their diamond expertise to platinum, even though they made an outstanding deal, and even though Messina is very close to Klipspringer, and even though it's still mining, just a different mineral and process. Pure plays get valued higher, all else being equal.
