By and large, I agree with you, LT. The one difference I note with the small pharmacies is that many of them seem to have trouble with the HMOs and PPOs--just getting the paperwork processed to be part of the system, I mean. It's easier for the large chains to get the attention. So unless a person wants to pay the full freight, the person takes the prescription to the stores that are a part of the system. That's what did in the best and most professional pharmacy in this neighborhood, anyway. Where it shows up for the consumer is at the margin, the emergency prescription that can't wait for a dot com rather than the maintenance prescription.
