Your pause is after the SCSI devices are recognized and before the SCSI bios loaded ...more likely during the loading of the SCSI bios. Then the NT load and BSOD.

It leads me to think that the issue is with the SCSI bios and the firmware in the Jaz. You can not upgrade either..didn't you say the SCSI bios could not be upgraded as the controller is onboard?

Have you checked with Adaptec to see if the controller supports your version of the Jaz?
