Those cops just wanted to make as big a deal about their big swoop on organized crime. They had to pump it up to make themselves look good.

Any new technology shifts could be an opportunitiy for IVI if they play it right.

HYC moved up yesterday. I think IVI may be ready to break out.

Would be nice to finally make some $ here, eh?

Mytec is currently not very active in biometrics (having only $70,000 in revenues year to date). The whole sector has come under pressure due to Y2K deferral. However, a bright spot includes ING Canada recently announcing that they would implement SAFlink software (ESAF). Mytec is an authorized reseller of SAFlink software in Canada. The technology can be used for cards and for internet security.

The other benefit which will be coming is the implementation of health cards with biometrics in Ontario. Take a careful look at the recent throne speech. Imagine, every doctor and medical centre now needing card readers and software to verify OHIP cards. Who may benefit?
Biometric companies (MYT), software companies (such as ESAF) and card reader companies which include....

The problem with today's market is that no one is willing to look forward more than 6 days. If you do not want to sit and wait, buy Nortel and watch it go up as fund managers chase it to get their short term performance (and get burned when it comes back to reality, like Newbridge). Or you buy a dog like IVI and when it goes on fire (like Corel has after 3 years of enduring pain) you sell it to the sheeplike mob who think Linux is the saviour of the world

MYT closed at $1.19, up 19 cents on over 400,000.

P.S. I would buy TRP under 12 and Laidlaw under 8 as well. Tax loss selling causes interesting anomalies.
