We need to find out when the IPO will be for Pointbase. At 30% DMC interest in Pointbase, DMC can have a major uptick depending on the IPO price. Just a thought for others.

DataMirror continues support for Microsoft alliance

DataMirror Corp DMC
Shares issued 10,208,073 Dec 14 close $13.60
Wed 15 Dec 99 News Release
Mr. Nigel Stokes reports
DataMirror's award-winning Transformation Server software has qualified for
membership as a data warehousing build and management tool within the
Microsoft Data Warehousing Alliance 2000. Transformation Server for
Microsoft SQL Server enables organizations to integrate and access critical
data rapidly and efficiently across their organizations for business
intelligence, as well as e-commerce and other distributed data
applications.
"In the Internet era, business intelligence applications must be seamlessly
integrated with legacy systems and new e-commerce applications in order to
leverage the full potential of the Web to gain new customers and do
business more effectively," said Nigel Stokes, chairman, president and
chief executive officer of DataMirror. "As companies implement business
intelligence applications built on the Microsoft data warehousing
framework, DataMirror Transformation Server makes it easy for them to
rapidly integrate data for business intelligence, collaboration and
e-commerce applications, even across many different hardware platforms and
database technologies."
As an alliance member, DataMirror is committed to delivering
high-performance data integration tools that support the Microsoft Data
Warehousing Framework 2000. This framework is an open architecture for
building business intelligence and analytical applications based on the
open standards and services built into the Windows 2000 operating system,
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and Office 2000. For customers, the Microsoft Data
Warehousing Framework simplifies and speeds data integration and greatly
expands their ability to deliver valuable business intelligence to decision
makers securely over the Web.
"Microsoft is pleased to have DataMirror as a DWA member," said Andrew
Hoover, industry manager for business intelligence in Microsoft's business
solutions group. "Whether it's legacy data integration or SQL Server 7.0
data warehousing, DataMirror replication and transformation software
supports Microsoft's Data Warehousing Framework. DataMirror continues to be
a valuable partner."
Microsoft's new alliance criteria call for compliance with technical
standards, including OLE DB for universal data access and the open
information model for sharing metadata, that make it easier to integrate
and use tools and applications from multiple vendors. In addition, alliance
partner products support Windows 2000 including key features such as active
directory services and the Windows installer. The new criteria and
information about how alliance member products support these standards and
services are available on-line.

Another very interesting news release. LOL... I am having a good time buying the stock while others are dumping... I have sold an interesting position of BCE and RY in two rrsp accounts to buy this today and will continue during the next few days if she stays weak. I don't think many folks get it. Did you read the latest release?
