You're absolutely right Michael. FWIW this is a continuation of an argument that was really enlightening to me... something from the past. What I learned was this - those that see themselves as "correct" on this issue of motherhood have no problems overtly slamming working women (whom they all deem as feminists with colorful labels such as dykes, hairy legs etc.)... implying that a working woman's choice is somehow inferior - in essence they can say anything... and after all, Quayle was dissing Murphy Brown so this pov is sanctioned by the govt. But for someone with an alternative pov to slam their wife's choice - oh well that is NOT ok, you see - and it leads to some emotional explosion on their part.
