I don't know the laptop make and model, sorry! I was working on a different project, the Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) at the time. My laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro 440) locks up now and then. My boss said adding lots of memory helps. To Microsoft's credit, I really haven't had much problem with my HP Windows NT machine (aside from the two times it totally destroyed everything on my disk in the first month after I bought it). However, to Microsoft's or to my web site server provider's discredit, my web site is not functional at all presently--ever since I asked to be switched to a Windows NT web server from UNIX (I wanted to be able to put Active Server Pages on the site).
