Mornin Yall, what assurances does the Q have that China will actually pay the royalties for CDMA and not just steal it

According to the press release, the infrastructure providers will most likely be MOT, Nortel, and LU. I doubt if any of these companies will want to try to bypass Q's IPR. As for handsets, I believe the same thing will occur. Look for Samsung, MOT, and NOKIA!?

BTW, I was in my local Airtouch store yesterday and inquired about internet and the PDQ Smartphone. Although Airtouch offers internet via the Thinphone as a modem, they have no plans to offer web browsing through the phone browesrs until March or April. As for the PDQ, they said it was still in testing and may not be offered at all. I took this as a reflection of the pending handset sale. Perhaps QCOM has warned carriers that the PDQ might be supplanted by a new model or perhaps a newly rebranded (read Nokia) model.

Depy dog
It will be mot, lu, nt and etc doing the buildout not Q.
it will be them that are responsible for paying the royalties to Q. it is their headache to collect from the chinese. another beautiful reason why not to own the infrastructure division.
