FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999--Metabyte, Inc. today announced the demonstration of the MbTV(TM) suite of products and services for personal television at the Western Show in Los Angeles. Under development for three years, MbTV is a personal TV agent that puts "your thumbprint on TV"(TM).

The MbTV technology is unique. MbTV automatically learns its viewers' television watching tastes without any user intervention and creates personalized profiles that can be used to provide a variety of services. It can automatically recommend, record and delete desirable programs based on viewers' television watching tastes on a one way broadcast stream. The artificial intelligence built into MbTV automatically identifies multiple viewers in a household without requiring them to log in. MbTV does not manage a viewer's privacy, but protects their privacy 100%, as it does not require any data to be transmitted from the viewer's home.

Metabyte will host a hospitality suite at the Wilshire Grand Hotel during the Western Show in Los Angeles. To schedule an appointment, please call Rebecca Jensen at 510-494-9700 or send e-mail to info@metabyte.com.
