Woody: One thought I have on NN vs. CS. NN is a "broken stock" that has missed projected earnings for the last several quarters and is a stock with no viable future as a stand-alone whereas CS is a stock which is still a leading supplier of LAN switches and has a viable, growing business. Although both are likely take-out targets in year 2000, NN will not (IMO) receive the premium offer that CS will. I believe that explains the relative lack of price movement in NN.

if you watch stocks that haved been rumored to be bought
they move only a little and the MM"s will start to go to work to get your shares on any move down
ex
CS
i sold my sh at above the ask price within 1 min they moved the price up and got my shares then the price went back down again !!
if you watch NN CS the mm"s are very much moving the price up and down to get your shares! then when the rumors become true they own most of the shares at a lower price and reap the benifits

there is no such thing as a sure thing
unless you put your money into a CD,BANK,BONDS
this is just investing and try to make the odds in your favor along with the people in the know
no one knows anything about the stock market it just is a estimate guess
so put the guess in your favor by doing your own research
