The other companies you want to be in, IMO, are Young Kings during the front part of the Bell curve, where you get exactly the same return, or better, and have the same safety during that period.

LindyBill: The Young Kings who are about in the same place as the Q is as a gorilla are also rare.

My One King is JDSU. But beyond that what?

Part of the problem may be that for example in my area of concentration there are young king candidates, but can't find a full Young King except JDSU.

Perhaps this is the case in other areas.

Young King nominations anyone?

LindyBill: Thinking about Young King's in telecom area, Nokia comes to mind.

Nokia is not all that young in GSM but it is certainly young in CDMA.

If, as seems to be more and more the consensus guess, Nokia does buy the Q's handset division and there is then a close working relationship with the Q on CDMA (ASICS from the Q), joint efforts in spreading CDMA One and HDR, etc., then Nokia could have an even brighter future than in the absence of that.

But even if Nokia does not buy the handset division, Nokia still looks to me to be a Young King in handsets.
