Edwarda, It was important to you to clear out the place yourself thus saving bits and pieces of your history. So many people have someone come in and destroy such precious bits of History among the mounds of Junk, and steal the antiques and money...

<BTW> Thank you for your Information on my GGGrandmother..
I not only found what the name means but I found a very long
geaneology of the McAlexander Family and my gggrandmothers name as well as my gggrandfathers were included..I will be able to contribute a very lengthy list to the Geaneology Database..
It seems that my 5th cousin started it:-) Thanks again....

<<This woman would apparently forget that she already had something in the house and would buy it again. And again. And again.>>

My parents stayed mentally sharp right up to their passings except for my mother and plastic wrap. Every time she'd run out she would buy 2 rolls, one to use and store the other on the shelves under the stairs. Problem was she'd put the roll on the shelf she could reach while standing on the steps but when she would look for it later she would go to the basement. When she was in the basement she couldn't see the top shelf so off to the store for 2 more rolls. Wound up with 16 rolls of Saran Wrap.
