HP, CPU problems can not be solved easily

HP is a highly proprietary system. I had similar problems trying to replace a harddrive in a Compaq computer...also proprietary in nature. My solution was to change to an open architecture system.

It sounds like you have HP warranty support working on your machine. It seems like the best way to go at this point in time.

We often talk about the need for backup strategies. Your situation illustrates the need for back up systems as well.

Sorry I can not give you any constructive help. All I can say is I feel your pain. Hope everything works out well.
