I don't denounce affirmative action completely- I like choices that get society where I want it to go. But I want the smartest doctors working on ME- so I don't think much of affirmative action in schools- I think underachievers who can't make it in on their merits should get help- LOTS of help, and if it costs a lot of money we should spend it- but I do not believe people who are less qualified should get in. Getting pregnant does not lower the IQ- one can still be competent. Getting time off and extra benefits is NOT the same as not being qualified to do your job. You seem to be confusing the need new parents have of some time to take care of an infant with helping someone who is incompetent. The two are not the same in my opinion. I do not see how they are logically related.
