<<Earnings Calendar Updated>> The Calendar has been revised for the rest of December 1999 and there are preliminary plays already for January '2000. Most of the preliminary plays are 'repeaters' ( were played at least 2 previous earnings quarters). They are pretty hot so its a good idea for those of you doing some longer range analysis to start tracking them right away (mostly for pullbacks since they are pretty good earners).. The dates were UNCONFIRMED since I did not get the First Call Radar Report but if you go to biz.yahoo.com and type in the symbol of the stock, you will get the phone number of investor relations. Since its so early, it is conceivable that some companies won't know their report date. Its also important because quite a few of the companies can give you multiple swing trades before their report date. The January Calendar is a little different from the usual. This is just a prototype for a 'professional' web-based calendar that will be divided into weeks, days and monthly view. The weekly views will consist of "Technical Analysis, Upgrades/downgrades, relevant news" about the stocks reporting during that particular week. Unlike the newsletter which was static, the Earnings Plays Calendar will be updated at least once daily and any stocks that are coming into buy range will be 'charted' and added onto the watch lists. Of course Intraday updates will include both the watch list and earnings plays.. As you remember from previous quarters the two most intense earnings weeks Jrom January 17 through January 28, most of our attention will be on these plays and they will find their way into the watch list. Charts will be available as soon as the new calendar is completed. (Probably within 10 days or so)... This new earnings calendar will take the place of the weekly newsletter. From time to time however we will have 'newsletter-type' educational articles. The last two newsletters will be included either wholly or partially in the Market Gems Strategies book which will be ready for editing before the end of this Month. It will contain about 10 chapters (techno-fundamental analysis and stretegies)of everything you need to know about Earnings Plays, Watch List Plays, their strategies, and the rationale behind the choices. It will also contain the strategies that work best for both our fundamentally strong earnings plays and hi-flying watch list plays, and the way in which they both complement each other in up and down markets.
