A couple of web links to sites referring to EDIS... I haven't seen these sites mentioned. I have a fair amount of knowledge in the field of imagery and these sites will give you some good technical background for EDIS. This link is a bit dated (19 Mar 1999) to Montana State University, it lists EDIS , NASA, and some other organizations involved with recent developments. arcdataonline.com This link goes into more detail than some of you might like, however, it is a government site and at the very end it does mention EDIS.
