Here is an interesting reply in the Q&A session of ULBI SM.

Ferguson Capital Management: Just one additional question. Are Sony and Panasonic and the others currently selling into the cell phone market?
John K: They've announced they are. We think there's some Sony product out there. Its not exactly... The trouble is getting batteries, Ok? Valence we know has announced a product and we think we have our hands on some batteries that they produced and sold in Europe but we're not sure. Its hard to get 'em. So what we think is, we believe that Panasonic was in the market. We know they were in the market because we have some of their batteries but they pulled the product back because they has some deficientcies. I don't know if they've reentered or not. But we haven't been able to get new batteries, lets put it that way. They may have announced it, but we can't get them. And Sony is in the marketplace. They're in with a gel product, which is a type of a polymer product, it's not quite the same product as we have, but they're there. And there are other companies that are there. We've gotten some, we've been able to obtain some batteries in places such as Taiwan, through our friends there. But we don't know who is making them and we don't think they're of a ... they're not of a quality level that we would be shipping. Put it that way.
