Mephisto- I thought Vioxx and Celebrex were virtually the same thing (cox-2 inhibitors) in a similar way that Prozac and Paxil are the same. Are you sure about Vioxx having a different distinction as far as the FDA is concerned? Also, why doesn't it help with chronic back pain? BTW, Ultram is a non-narcotic pain reliever that might provide you similar relief to Darvocet. I'm not sure that that 'non-narcotic' thing is that big of a deal. It all has the same mechanism of action. -JCJ
