Nihil, Actually, Dell is feeling the profit pressure big time this quarter and has been for more than a year. Their business results are showing declining growth in profits while the stock has gone up. Gateway has simply capitalized expenses to hide their profit problems. The more efficient concept is simply PR flack blue smoke and mirrors. However, Dell does make a decent computer. Gateway makes one of the least reliable boxes.

As far as value added goes, there is none in this business. They are simply clomp components together cos. with no value added. Some, such as Dell, clomp with a high rate of quality control. Some, such as Gateway and Acer, do not.
