That is good news you got your Jaz to work with Windows

Thx Howard..I have you and ZeusPaul to thank for that. Now that I know this Jaz can work by itself in Windows and (I have to have the 68 pin cable back online) I can go ahead and order the adapter you recommended awhile back. I'm not capable of tracking down the problems involved with the 50 and 68 pin mobo chains not working together.

You don't need the SCSI BIOS with the configuration you are using

ok..thats very useful info. I posted later that I was able to get the BIOS to install by enabling 'Support Removable Disks as Fixed'. or something to that effect, in the SCsi BIOS. But with this setting have to shutdown the computer to remove a Jaz media..so..not very workable..I'd prefer not worrying about the BIOS not Install message and be able to remove my disks on-the-fly.

Except...

However, to access the SCSI hard and removable drives in DOS you either need to have the SCSI BIOS installed or drivers loaded during boot up.

My primary usage of this Jaz is to have Drive Image directly place newly created image files onto Jaz media. Drive Image,of course, runs in DOS mode. So there is going to be more fiddling with this config for that reason. What drivers do you refer to in the above?

Thx Again Howard & ZeusPaul
Your assistance is greatly appreciated
as always....
