Principle and telling the truth is more important to me than making someone money! Everything to you seems to revolve around money, not me!

Good night,

I'm flattered by being included in your list, as you've identified some really bright contributors to the thread, but somehow I don't think you meant it as a compliment <g>. It's too bad you see the influx of members to the Q thread as a form of degeneration, MM. While I share your annoyance that so much importance is attached to hourly/daily/weekly price movements, I see the popularity of Q as an important factor in the increase of my portfolio's value.

Do you really want to turn the clock back? You commented recently that your portfolio was approaching 8 figures; not bad for a 30 year old (or for any old for that matter). I presume you were a lot poorer in the "good old days".

I still remember the encouragement and insights you offered the g&k thread last March. You actually recruited me and others to the Qtip Corps. We owe you for that.

uf

Hi MM

Thanks for your empassioned response regarding the state of the thread.

I have personally benefitted from the insight of all the combatants here and choose no sides, only that of civility.

You are correct that the tone and direction of the thread has changed. But I find there is often an evolution, just as the company we follow is evolving. Success brings its own set of problems which must be worked through. That sense of community will keep our thread successful through the evolutionary process.

Regards

Voop

Damn, MM, and here I thought you loved me! :0)

As you know, I bought Q at the IPO, and sold in 94 when it was obvious that Q was going nowhere until the lawsuits were settled.

I used to come over to this thread, read it, yawn, and go back to making money on MSFT, CSCO, DELL, AOL, etc.

When I bought back in this year, I knew this thread was going to change radically, and boy, has it! You got invaded by a bunch of ragamuffins!

I know, I know. Now you have to put up with Spud's chatter, Willie's TA, Voltaire's "dark forces", and my "Quillionaire" report, but your bank account sure looks better!
