>>Overclocked Athlon systems for sale at:

I wrote Outside Loop email asking about guarantees of stability at 750Mhz, and I got a reply back from them as follows:

"The overclocked systems are 100% stable and guaranteed to operate
that way. Many of Athlon 500 cpu's that I've been receiving lately
are actually running 800mhz without any trouble."

Well I guess the good news is, AMD Athlon manufacturing is so good that they are down-binning their Athlon CPUs. The bad news is, this could cannibalize some of their higher-end Athlon sales. But then again, most who buy such "overclocker" systems probably wouldn't have paid for an Athlon 700 or a 750 anyway...better to get them to spend a few extra bucks on an Athlon 500 than on a K6-3, overclocked Celeron, or lower-end PIII.
