nihil, There is some advantage to size, but it hasn't helped Compaq or IBM lately, at least not in the PC area. I think that size really helps when component prices are rising, as they have been until recently. Obviously, a supplier would much rather have a long term relationship with Compaq or Dell than with the local clomp together shop. When prices are going down and supply is plentiful, the advantage disappears.
