Certainly the government schools are a failed experiment. I think we might as well write off schools as a failed experiment.

I wasn't serious when I stated that erroneous connection nihil. I just picked an issue that was bugging me (bad mathematics education) and concluded it was due to something. I think its interesting that I got a whole bunch of responses, and yet nobody said much when the original point was made that working parents essentially "caused" Columbine (or more specifically, that the kids in the daycare center I worked at in college are Columbine material). I felt that was a ridiculous pretense.
