Mathsoft, a provider of the broadest line of technical calculation and analytical software for business and academia, today announced that its Data Analysis Products Division has been selected to fulfill a three-year multi-million dollar contract by the National Library of Medicine.

MathSoft will be an integral part of a consortium assigned to develop the system. Other partners include GE Corporate Research (NYSE:GE), Kitware, Inc., University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Tennessee.

I think the FreeScholarships.com venture could be huge for MATH shareholders. But one must have a bit of patience for that story to develop. Mathsoft is putting a considerable investment into FreeScholarships.com and if you look at any internet IPO, you can imagine what can happen for MATH shareholders since they own FreeScholarships.com.

Meanwhile, MATH is dramatically increasing the retail sales outlets for it's products and the web sales of it's core products are increasing very nicely.

So I think over the next year or so MATH can go much higher. Short term it's hard to say because there are so many day traders etc.
