Hi Mitch- Merl Sauders (and The Rainforest Band) are awesome. Search the SUNW thread for your name and you'll find the post. -- Regarding politicians and lawyers: These are the real boys Debian's Bruce Perens just left Gepeto's workshop to be with on Pleasure Island. He's been firing folks up against the SCSL, and now he's off to being CEO of a VC firm. He's under NDA and he can't talk about it. You guys end up doing 'brand' engineering for Bruce Perens. Copyright laws (and PD) are itching for a re-write. It's a pretty ambiguous mention by the founding fathers. The history, the context is that we're a nation founded *against the likes of M$ usurping IP and against all this 'patented' crap going on. The rules will change to meet the dynamic of the innovation of liberated information. -JCJ

Ok, fine about information being free and all, so it should be tortured out of anybody who has any of it that is useful. I agree with that. But, how do you tell if engineers decide to withdraw their services? They are so damn lazy anyway, we would just slip back into the dark ages quietly, and no one would notice. ************** So, how much of a reward would you give IBM for stealing the idea for the DOT MATRIX printer off me, enabling engineering and all? I suppose you could say they have already been rewarded, but I thought we would give the black bastards some kind of special prize or something. After all, they had the ability to severally rip me off, make a profit, never get suspected, and defame my reputation as a know it all, all in one process. I have to hand it to them. I might even buy their stock. Only trouble is, I decided not to let them rip me off anymore, so I don't know what they are going to do for new products. Troubled in Toronto. EC<:-}
