Blue, I must say that I am appreciating the study results you are posting on corporal punishment, even if Neocon has stopped responding to them. I think you hit upon something crucial when you talked about the idea of NOT hitting children as disturbing to the world view of some people (excuse me for paraphrasing; it is late and I am kind of tired). I have enormous respect not for posters with any particular world view, but those who can explore new subjects, absorb research, and discuss topics articulately while holding open at least the possibility of changing their minds should new evidence present itself, and making their arguments in an interesting and logical manner. When a bit of humor is thrown in as well, the debates here can be fascinating.
