Hi!!
I never bet against DELL...DELL's timing for entering markets is legendary...The average investor hasn't figured out many things..Meathead's post to Sig said it best..

re: If you owned GTW you should be scared but not DELL
A number of observers have recently stated that GTW's "bricks and clicks" approach is a better formula than the "all direct" DELL model given that more than 80% of consumer buyers (both new and repeat) want to see and touch the products. Time will tell whether DELL will be able to move a significant number of consumers to their model, but the general perception is that DELL will leave money on the table without a "bricks" presence. The market has obviously rewarded GTW for their business model. I would not think of them as a good short candidate.

The question I have not seen addressed is this: what will DELL be doing differently next year which would change the perception about the company from 1999? If the answer is "nothing, we already have the perfect model and management team", then I think returns a lot like 1999 are in the cards.
