Thanks for the explanation, unc. I was having problems differentiating between gmst's and wgat's markets. I can appreciate your enthusiasm for wgat, but it's way too early for them to appeal to me. It is becoming increasingly clear, however, that gmst is the real deal - a Gorillalet just beginning to show its power <g>.

No disrespect to early adopters intended.

Unclewest, speaking from a GG point of view, it seems that WGAT has a pretty large chasm to cross before it becomes widely successful (if I understood your explanation correctly).

I don't understand how WGAT is substantially different from WebTV, which, imo, would have died in the chasm regardless of MSFT.

the concept of accessing e-mail and shopping on line in the living room is appealing to almost everyone

True, but like WebTV, I don't see how WGAT would get over the resolution problem. Furthermore, you would need a pretty big TV to comfortably read e-mail/text from your couch.

These are just some problem I see for any internet-on-the-tv company. Do you know how WGAT might overcome/bypass such issues, if indeed they are issues?

Thanks for your explanation/insights.
