NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 1999--

Gary Anstey to Head Firm's Investment Banking Operation Ziad K. Abdelnour to Head Private Placements

TOWER HILL SECURITIES, INC., A THCG, INC. (NASDAQ: THCG) company, today announced the appointment of two senior executives, Gary Anstey, Senior Managing Director, Investment Banking, and Ziad K. Abdelnour, Managing Director, Private Placements. Mr. Anstey will head Tower Hill's investment banking operation while Mr. Abdelnour will report to him as head of private placements.

Mr. Anstey, 48, joins THCG from Ladenburg Thalmann where he was a Managing Director in charge of high yield corporate finance. Mr. Anstey's prior Wall Street experience includes positions at Smith Barney where he managed the institutional fixed income distribution effort, Citicorp Investment Bank where he was in charge of institutional sales and managed a multi-billion dollar trading desk operation, and S.N. Phelps & Co. where he was a partner in charge of principal investing and corporate restructuring.

Prior to joining THCG, Ziad K. Abdelnour, 38, was a Managing Director and Head of Private Finance at Ladenburg Thalmann where he focused on the needs of middle-market companies. From 1986 until 1997, he was a senior investment banker with Drexel Burnham Lambert, Laidlaw Equities and Interbank Capital Group. During the span of his career on Wall Street, Mr. Abdelnour has raised more than $2.4 billion in financing for more than 50 companies and taken principal positions in a broad variety of industrial and financial services companies.
