This is true that the boxes will age, but that will happen whether the new DOT. COM's survive or not. Exodus and the companies that succeed will have to have taken that expense into consideration. I may not have stated the question as clearly as I could. twister said these companies will fail and Exodus will not have enough customers to stay in business. My point is that the companies that succeed will more than fill the slots in the racks left open by the losers. I should have said rack space and not talked specifically about the hardware.
