RealPlayer Plus has also been released that improves on the freeware client by offering PerfectPlay, a feature that makes possible near-CD quality audio and full-motion video even at speeds as low as 28.8 Kbps.

Fortunately my modem always connects at 50Kbs or greater, (download), so I find the quality quite good. I also think the quality is a function of how the broadcaster encodes. Here's an easy listening station from Detroit that sounds good even in stereo. Let me know what you think?
(BTW, once you put the station in your presets you no longer get the ad stuff)<g>
