Uncle Frank: The short answer is yes.

But like all short answers this deserves a bit of elaboration. And of course I could be wrong. Won't be the first or last time.

One answer is that Sandisk has no effective competition.

Game, set and match.

But that is a little glib.

There is a small company which has a cross license with some aspects of the technology Sandisk has pioneered and has extensive patents on. That small company is SSTI.

The relationship in size is roughly the same as JDSU and SDLI.

So if JDSU passes that test, so does SNDK.

But then there is Sony - all out on its own with its "stick". A sort of Betamax entry.

The vast majority of the Japanese companies use SNDK's entry.

Is this enough to prevent SNDK being a king?

Each can decide for him(her)self. My answer is that while Sony bears watching and is certainly to be feared and respected, SNDK will make it as a King.

Perhaps someone here who knows more than I do about all this will help on this.

Would appreciate that.

Respect and best.
