Dr. Levy, thanks a bunch. I surely appreciate your views.

It speaks to the nature of the medium that no one has caught on yet for the need for legitimate instructive reporting on hi-technology trends, save, perhaps for Discovery and one or two other programs which air regularly. But these often don't get granular enough, IMO. While they are usually very entertaining, to a large extent, they still seem to treat the audience as though they/we need to be ultra spoon fed on every level. And while this actually holds merit for many cross-sections of viewers, there is also, IMO, a market for presentations which offer gradients in between.

For example, I sure would watch a show that went through the differences of the various xyzFDM wireless interfaces. smiles

I suppose, then, the next question would be how to prevent the contamination of bias in reporting.

Incidentally, in the pursuit of fair play and self-correction, I had requested that the webmistress delete the last two paragraphs of my initial post on this topic, since I was in error regarding the lack of any disclaimers. There is one, as I noted later on in another post. But as of now the deletion has still not taken place. FWIW.

Regards, Frank Coluccio
