G'day all - hi Johnny, 1st ECIL is the same as the old ECILF. Many *foreign* companies have dropped the suffix 'F'. I don't think DTF is hyping ECIL, it is on its buy list for quite some times. Otherwise, one would have to accuse S&P rating ECIL as a five star stock a hype <G>.

ECIL is under a bit of pressure since its last acquisition, but it is a solid SONET company but its stock performance is kind of start and stop. GS recently downgraded the stock b/c the CEO is retiring [the replacement is a company veteran] and pricing pressure.

To me, it is indeed a sleeper stock. But then, since I hold some shares [small amount, quite insignificant relative to the rest of my portfolio,] I too plead guilty of hyping <G>. Maybe a caveat emptor won't hurt

good luck

best, Bosco
