NZYM was up 27% ($1) on heavy volume of 264,000 shares today. I checked with the company and they don't seem to know why the stock would move so suddenly. Presumably someone decided to take a big position in a hurry. I don't think we'll hear any really exciting news for another 6-12 months, but it seems that there is a fairly broad base of drugs in development using NZYM products and at least a few of these should eventually progress on to FDA approval. In the short term, the 3rd quarter (ended Dec. 31) will probably come in at only a few cents per share as the company announced previously, but the 4th quarter should be better. I think (?hope) that we will see revenues and earnings really break out toward the end of fiscal 2001.
