Pappy; I like FLC/RIG/PTEN combo right now & lg cap E&P vs. small, but on RIG/SLB ... who knows ? I think you can surely nibble, establish a position of 50% allocated funds for RIG. If it sells off - load the boat on what WILL be then the #1 buy in OSX land. If it does not sell off, you have 50% in at $24ish (great price) and can add on retraces later, or buy into strength. I love FLC here; Isn't FLC lower here than it was during OSX 65ish ? Now, I can buy FLC cheaper than OSX 65 - when the fundamentals are finally proven to be turning ? Dayrates up, rig count up and Nat Gas prices have rebounded !!!! That is an ANOMALY - buy it with confidence ! They are virtually the only jack up driller that can vastly upside surprise on analyst estimates. They have cold stacked rigs to bring to the GOM party as soon as what is on the move from Intnl waters is aborbed - next 45 days ? Big Dog might be able to comment on the reloacation of some intnl rigs to the GOM. When FLC does bring these cold stacked rigs online - up go the analyst EPS estimates & price targets. I still say no BOOM 2000 without $30 FLC - what other driller is a slam dunk 2 1/2 bagger supported by its 98 highs ? PTEN is cheap - (right Richard D (VBG) - finally, I am in... RIG - who knows how they'll play it; but the risk of it going lower is there, but you gotta be at least 1/2 in and then load on any retrace after the share release from SLB... What were people thinking that made the bet on small cap E&Ps here like PGEI TMAR RRC MEXP EEE - all down; vs. the large caps like EOG NBL BR APA OEI UPR PXD ? Small caps NEVER lead breakouts - the institutional holders (Lg Caps)all ready did their fiscal year end tax loss selling; but the individual investors (sm caps) usually waits untill the last few weeks of December - praying for a rally... simple facts. Look at NBL BR EOG today vs. PGEI MEXP RRC TMAR - unreal... what WERE they thinking ? Call it the "COSMOic" effect.... :) some people just don't get it, never did - never will. Of course - maybe its a market manipulation (VBG). Got VPI ?
