O/t good thinking Alan-so if you have made tons of money in the stock market-you can pass them on to your family who will never have to pay a cent to the government.. by the way..you also will never have to pay a cent to the government.. as long as you don't cash them in
yeah for trust fund welfare recipients

OT(or is it as we already know about the level of reporting on the gold rally today)

Has anyone else noticed the difference in standards of reporting on CNBC this morning concerning stock splits?

In the norm, (correctly) whenever a stock split is announced CNBC places, somewhere in their reporting of the announcement, a disclaimer concerning what effect should be expected after the split. For instance, "This is just like getting two $5's for a $10 bill" or "It really shouldn't make any difference, as it does nothing to increase the fundamental worth of the company".

Today as the GE stock split was announced, I heard no such disclaimer, did anyone else? If this disclaimer was mentioned, it certainly did not receive the typical or historic level of reporting.

I'd call them "Worthless Self-Serving Pigs", but I don't want to give pigs a bad name.
