I totally agree...these things SHOULD be appreciated more by the market...then some nebulous "marketing" agreement(S) that today .com's seem to pump out like their no tomorrow (and the market gives the company a 5% bump in one day...)

Dell has shown, quite often, that it is the Larry Bird of tech stocks....doing the little things extremely well..........but not very flashy..........the market likes to focus on the guys who can sky and DUNK right now..........but are like Shaquille O'Neill at the free throw line......the real question is, at the end of game, who is going to win?

MD/Rollins/VanderSlice look like a great team going forward....What does VanderSlice's hair look like ? <G> Doubtful he has rock-n-roll hair like Mort....

I am especially happy that they got the guy who negotiated the IBM components deal....HIGHLY UNLIKELY he would join Dell (if he thought Dell was getting screwed, IMO)..also, he knows Big Blue inside out...this guy probably could have targeted a .com....but, must obviously believe that Dell has a lot of growth left....

Without knowing everyone out there..hard to think, strategically or otherwise, there could be a better fit...
