marginmike, Todd from my understanding it would take several years and a great deal of money to come close to MFNX.

There's no arguing with that. I know of more than a couple of companies with the funds necessary if they felt they wanted it however.

There would also be an issue of right of Access. Since MFNX is teamed with BAM others would have to find othjer routes to lay fiber. Though this is not as good as IPR protection it is a huge barrier to entry.

You may force me to do some reading but I don't believe that this is a enough of a barrier. IPR is probably the ultimate barrier but you are making sense.

The fact that they Own the Dark Fiber market as it exists will present a competitive advantage for ABOV.

Amen and this is one of the reasons I'm on board. We still have to capture marketshare from Exodus if this is the game we're in. Owning the fiber makes for a competitive advantage so watch out Exodus. We'll see. They have a long uphill battle.

If on the other hand, you are still looking at just owning the fiber as the game MFNX is in, I'd need to understand more of the details of the arrangements they have with BAM and just how much this limits access to others. I would think that with enough money, others could get access or their own right of ways.

Interesting,

Todd
